A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty in case you have a website hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet incredibly easy to work with, and it will permit you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you will see a tiny "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it again will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have another mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will allow you to set up a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you have created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
